Non direttamente. Vedi qui:
Apple - Support - Discussions - Does iMovie 11 support native AVCHD ...
iMovie ’11 Still Does Not Support Many AVCHD (.mts) Files; Workaround | AppleToolbox - Tools, Tips and Fixes for iPhone, Mac, iPad and iPod
Ma ci sono almeno 2 workaround:
Knowledge base ufficiale Apple: iMovie '09 & iMovie '11: Importing AVCHD clips from some multi-format camcorders may require additional steps
No camera
VoltaicHD does not need your camera connected when converting. Just copy your videos from your camera (or better yet use FlamingoHD to take care of this), drag them onto VoltaicHD, click Start and you’re away..
