E intanto la scanna delle sim internazionali non sembra terminare.
Dopo le tariffe in aumento di United-Mobile con l'introduzione di una tassa per le chiamate ricevute, il servizio di Yackiemobile è interrotto oramai da piu' di 8 giorni.
A quanto pare sembrerebbe che la società di 09 (la società islandese su cui si appoggia Yackie) sta attraversando un brutto periodo finanziario.
Le prossime settimane saranno le decisive.
Yackie mobile resterà ferma per almeno 2 o 3 settimane
Probabilmente sceglieranno un nuovo operatore (ma chi?)

Questa e l'email che Yackiemobile sta inviando a tutti i suoi clienti:

This past 8 day service interruption is due to a non-payment by our service supplier and Partner 09 Mobile (BluTel). Most recently the Iceland economy has plummeted and their investors have ceased to financially assist them in keeping service.

Yackie Mobile has done everything it can to assist 09 in resolving these monetary issues. Final decisions are being made and ultimately service may not be restored.

Over the next two weeks 09 will re-negotiate their contracts leaving you, our Yackie customers with connectivity or without.

Yackie Mobile has already started working on an alternative method to re-establish connectivity and make our roaming program stronger.

We would like to thank you for your continued patients and patronage. If service is not restored through 09, Yackie Mobile will work with other partners to regain connectivity. Once new partnerships are established all customers’ accounts will be moved to our new platform. All Yackie Mobile customers will be notified in advanced and proper SIM exchanges will take place.

Yackie Mobile sincerely apologizes for this unpredictable inconvenience and hopes to have some resolution soon.

Ho appena parlato con il CEO di Yackie, è stato molto gentile.

Mi ha detto che stanno lavorando per un nuovo accordo e che hanno una propria licenza GSM, intanto per chi avesse chiesto l'upgrade della sim come il sottoscritto può chiedere il rimborso dei 15$ pagati per la nuova sim semplicemente scrivendo all'assistenza clienti un'email. Idem per il credito residuo.

L'accordo con 09 è saltato definitivamente.
Yackiemobile si sta muovendo per stringere un nuovo accordo con un'altro gestore.
Presto verranno inviate le nuove sim.
Aspettiamo fiduciosi.
Secondo voi con quale prefisso internazionale saranno le nuove sim???

Yackie Mobile would like to thank you for your patients during this extended outage. We are doing our best to keep you informed of connectivity and an ultimate fix for the current loss of service.
Yackie is close to finding another provider to handle our termination. We expect to have a new card and service restored shortly. We will contact you for shipping information once the new roaming SIM has arrived.
There are many rumours that Yackie is out of business and or we have collaborated with other roaming SIM providers. YackieMax and our VoIP services are still in service. Our GSM product is the only product affected by this outage. Also, we do not have any agreement with any companies and do not endorse their technology, SIM exchange programs or service.
Users who have $0 balance issues! We are aware of this and it is part of the transfer of accounts to the new system. All balances will be restored on new system. For example a user with a $23.52 balance at the time of the outage will have the same $23.52 on the new service.
When new service is available new SIMs will be provided free of charge and shipped to a confirmed address.

E intanto passano i giorni ed ancora non è arrivata un 'email nella quale ci annunciano le tanto sospirate spedizioni delle nuove sim di Yackiemobile.
A quanto pare sembra che saranno con prefisso +372.
